Morgan Benson
Morgan has been involved in the horticulture and landscape industry around the Memphis area for more than 18 years. Starting out in landscape maintenance and installation industries, his passion for horticulture was born. This led him to manage and run several plant nurseries, ever-increasing his plant knowledge. In this time, an interest in Artificial Turf arose prompting many successful installs for residential customers and commercial projects in the Mid-South.
His passion for the game of golf on the course has also expanded into the world of synthetic putting greens, which are his favorite projects to work on. Through design, plant knowledge, and industry standard construction practices, he strives to deliver the highest quality product to customers time and time again.
Colt Schwerin
Colt began in the artificial turf industry in the summer of 2009 working for Mid-South Greens. He continued working for the company while finishing college at the University of Memphis, and he continued installation and maintenance work on existing putting greens into his young professional career.
Having secured roles in sales, inventory management, supply chain and logistics, he sharpened those skills before deciding to put them to use with partner, Morgan Benson, and they purchased Mid-South Greens from then owner, Paul Reid, to go into business as Bluff City Turf Co.
Bluff City Turf Co was built from years of hands-on experience in landscaping, horticulture, and artificial turf installation across the Memphis area. What started in traditional landscape maintenance and plant work naturally evolved into synthetic turf as we saw the demand for cleaner, more durable outdoor spaces that actually last.
We’ve worked on everything from residential backyards to large commercial projects throughout the Mid-South, focusing on proper installation, clean finishes, and long-term performance. Every project is approached with the same mindset: do it right, make it last, and deliver something the customer is genuinely proud of.
